Luis Carlos Barragán is a Colombian writer and illustrator focused on science fiction, and a lecturer in Islamic art and history. He has published three sci-fi novels: Vagabunda Bogotá (2011), winning Best Novel Award at Chamber of Commerce of Medellín and shortlisted for the Rómulo Gallegos Award; El Gusano (2018) and Tierra Contrafuturo (2021) and a short story collection, Parásitos Perfectos (2021). He has also created illustrated artworks for several publications about sci-fi: book covers, posters, background painting for animation.
